Feasibility Of an Outcome-Based Digital Educational Content Creator Module Integrating Environmental Learning

Digital educational content creation is an important competency for future English teachers; however, instructional materials for this area may emphasize technical production without systematically connecting learning outcomes, English language pedagogy, and environmental awareness. This study evaluated the feasibility of a digital module for the Digital Educational Content Creator (DECC) course that integrates Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Environmental Learning. The module was developed through a research-and-development process adapted from Borg and Gall, including preliminary analysis, product planning, development, expert validation, and revision. Two experts evaluated the module using a 52-item instrument on a four-point scale. The instrument covered DECC content and subject matter, OBE alignment, Environmental Learning, language quality, and digital presentation. The first reviewer awarded 188 of 208 points (90.38%), while the second awarded 190 of 208 points (91.35%). The combined score was 378 of 416 points (90.87%), placing the module in the “highly feasible” category. Content and subject matter received the highest aspect score (95.00%), while digital presentation and media received the lowest (87.50%); both remained within the highly feasible category. Reviewers recommended clearer alignment among outcomes, learning activities, and assessment; stronger links between projects and English language teaching; more systematic use of local environmental contexts; language proofreading; and improved consistency and navigation in the digital presentation. Revisions were completed and approved by both reviewers. The findings indicate that the module is suitable for use after the recommended revisions. Further classroom implementation is needed to examine its practicality and learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Digital educational content creation is an important competency for future English teachers; however, instructional materials for this area may emphasize technical production without systematically connecting learning outcomes, English language pedagogy, and environmental awareness. This study evaluated the feasibility of a digital module for the Digital Educational Content Creator (DECC) course that integrates Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Environmental Learning. The instrument covered DECC content and subject matter, OBE alignment, Environmental Learning, language quality, and digital presentation. The first reviewer awarded 188 of 208 points (90.38%), while the second awarded 190 of 208 points (91.35%).
