ANALISIS PENDAPATAN USAHATANI PADI SAWAH DI NAGARI RANGKIANG LULUIH KABUPATEN SOLOK

Rice farming is the main source of income for the community in Nagari Rangkiang Luluih. This study aimed to analyze the income of rice farming and to describe the cultivation techniques applied by farmers. A quantitative descriptive method was used with 74 respondents, grouped into farmers with narrow landholdings (0.10–0.25 ha; average 0.17 ha; n = 32) and large landholdings (0.26–0.40 ha; average 0.35 ha; n = 42). Rice cultivation consisted of land preparation, nursery preparation, seedling pulling, transplanting, fertilization, weeding, spraying, and harvesting. Farmers with narrow landholdings obtained an average production of 1,369 kg, revenue of IDR 8,212,500, and income of IDR 5,145,783 per hectare per season. Meanwhile, farmers with large landholdings obtained an average production of 2,260 kg, revenue of IDR 13,557,857, and income of IDR 6,907,503 per hectare per season. At a rice price of IDR 6,000/kg, both groups were profitable, with higher income earned by farmers with large landholdings. In general, cultivation practices followed the stages recommended by the Indonesian Center for Rice Research, including the use of improved varieties, Urea, NPK, and SP-36 fertilizers, and tractors for land preparation, although the jajar legowo planting system had not been applied and several activities were still performed manually.
