TECHNOLOGIES FOR DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE THROUGH THEATRE PEDAGOGY

This conceptual article examines how theatre pedagogy can support the development of professional competence in pre-service teachers. The problem concerns the transition from knowing pedagogical principles to making context sensitive decisions during classroom interaction. A focused narrative analysis of selected scholarly publications and conceptual modelling are used to connect dramatic activity with observable professional performance.
