Neuronal World: Illusionistic Explanation of the Empirical Reality

The neurophilosophical concept of the neuronal world posits that brain rhythms create a three-dimensional holographic virtual reality. The neuronal world model argues that virtual reality is a continuous construct of the brain, crafted through the electromagnetic synchronisation of neurons. Brain activity generates the empirical world through a dynamic interaction of sensory inputs and resonant neuronal states. The neuronal world comprises two basic models — the world model and the self-model — each composed of many levels. Basic neuronal rhythms, such as gamma and alpha oscillations, realise sensory integration and abstract dissociation. High-frequency gamma rhythms construct the empirical world and create detailed sensory experiences, while alpha and beta rhythms decompose sensory data into more abstract layers. Neuronal activity results in a coherent, integrated simulation. A clearer account of the true nature of reality is therefore important for the formation of a detailed and consistent neurophilosophical worldview. Understanding how brain activity constructs the experience of reality is critical not only for theoretical explanation but also for explaining various brain disorders that lead to psychiatric disturbance. In this context, the article examines major depressive disorder as a possible disturbance of the rhythmic mechanisms underlying the neuronal world, challenges the conventional neurotransmitter-based account of depression, and develops the concept of neuro-illusionistic therapy as a possible therapeutic framework. This article aims to describe how the brain simulates virtual reality from the perspective of the neuronal world model and to explain basic neurogenerative mechanisms that construct the neurosimulation
