The SAT is now completely digital, from 2024. It will be taken on a laptop or tablet at a test centre. The SAT is adaptive so it will adjust based on your performance. Section Questions Time Reading & Writing 54 (2 modules of 27) 64 minutes Math 44 (2 modules of 22) 70 minutes Total 98 2 hours 14 minutes The test is section adaptive, meaning your performance in the first module will dictate how difficult the second module will be. All questions are essential so don’t leave any out. SAT Math Syllabus The Math section covers topics from Class 9 to 11 and has four areas: Algebra: linear equations, linear inequalities, and systems of equations. Advanced Math: quadratics, polynomials, exponentials, and function behaviour. Problem-Solving and Data Analysis: ratios, percentages, probability, statistics, and reading data from tables and graphs. Geometry and Trigonometry: area, volume, circles, triangles, and basic trig. You are allowed to use a calculator throughout the entire Math section. There is an inbuilt Desmos graphing calculator but it’s still a good idea to practice your mental maths to save time on easier questions. SAT Score Calculator SAT scores run from 400 to 1600. You get 200 to 800 for Reading & Writing and 200 to 800 for Math, and the two are added together. As the test is adaptive it’s not as straightforward to convert your score to a chart. A great SAT score calculator can help. Simply input your practice test results and you’ll get an approximate Sat score calculator. Use this after every mock test to see if you’re on track to hit your target. This is just an approximation.
