Contra el montaje: síntesis y fluidez visual en el videoclip producido con inteligencia artificial

The transformation of the visual landscape brought about by the advent of automated generation tools has permeated all phases and areas of production, distribution, and consumption, impacting the cultural world across the board. Music videos, as a format for visual experimentation, embrace these new possibilities and apply them to the needs of the music industry and the 21st-century leisure model. This work aims to describe the general characteristics of these AI-generated music video completion processes, highlighting emerging trends related to editing and post-production techniques. A sample of music videos was studied, applying content analysis criteria focused on the textual and discursive dimensions, with particular attention to the effects of AI production on editing. The results indicate that the clips in the sample contain various visual tactics that mask editing understood as a change of shot. These include a tendency towards transitions through form or composition —match-cuts— the joining of frames as versions or iterations through modified prompts, and effects such as morphing. The result is an edition that stands out for its visual fluidity and a synthetic aesthetic.
