Advanced Stability Analysis of Grid-Connected Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems Incorporating Solar PV and Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS).
This study evaluates the dynamic stability of a grid-connected hybrid renewable energy system combining a 250 kW Solar PV array and a 300 kW Wind Energy Conversion System. Using a simulation-based approach, the system is modeled with a common DC-link, P&O MPPT, and a Voltage Source Converter. Dynamic performance is analyzed across five scenarios, including irradiance drops, wind fluctuations, three-phase faults, and load steps. Results demonstrate that coordinated converter control effectively mitigates voltage fluctuations, limits frequency deviations, and ensures robust fault ride-through capability, offering a resilient framework for stable, low-carbon smart grids.
