Digital Business Transformation and Emerging Management Strategies
Digital business transformation has now gone beyond the stage of being a technology adoption strategy into a broader strategic renewal process involving restructuring of organizations, changes in their management ideologies and value creation process. This research paper analyzes the current literature on the subject to propose a unified framework for comprehending how firms can go through digital transformation process while developing new management strategies. Using a systematic review of the latest literature from the year 2021 to 2026, this paper proposes three interrelated dimensions for transformation – technological infrastructure, organizational capabilities and leadership mindset. For the analysis of the transformation processes, this paper has used a methodological approach combining resource-based theory and Technology-Organization-Environment model. Results show that the success of digital transformation is not dependent on the advanced technologies used but rather on the compatibility of digital investments with the value creation goals. The conclusion reached here is that the emerging management strategies need to focus on organizational learning speed, data architectures for decision making and human-centered approach towards workforce redesign.
