STUDI LITERATUR: EVALUASI DAN SUPERVISI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM
This study aims to examine the implementation, challenges, and optimization strategies of evaluation and supervision in Islamic education to realize sustainable quality assurance rooted in Islamic values. Methods: This research adopted a qualitative approach using a literature review (library research). Data were gathered from scientific publications (Google Scholar, Sinta, ResearchGate) over the last 10 years, alongside official policy documents. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, focusing on basic concepts, principles, techniques, roles, competencies, and models of supervision. Results: The findings indicate that supervision in Islamic education operates as a humanistic and growth-oriented guidance process rather than mere administrative inspection. Effective supervision relies on direct, collaborative, and non-direct approaches, executed through individual and group techniques. Supervisors must fulfill roles as coordinators, consultants, leaders, evaluators, and facilitators supported by academic, pedagogical, and technical competencies. Furthermore, applying clinical, scientific, artistic, or conventional models requires a structured four-stage cycle: planning, execution (classroom observation), evaluation/reflection, and follow-up. Novelty: This study offers an integrative conceptual framework that bridges modern supervisory management with core Islamic values (such as muhasabah, ta'awun, and constructive advice) to transform administrative supervisory practices into holistic, quality-driven educational mentorship.
