Gravity, Carried: On the Production of Weak-Field Gravity by Held Boundaries
Formal Record 16 proved that held boundaries make spacetime: keepers scattered at random, each holding its own cell, ticking on its own clock and pushing the neighbours it touches, make at large scale the Minkowski spacetime of special relativity, in every frame. Its keepers ticked at one rate in a given flat space, and its scope excluded gravity. This record lets the clocks run at different rates from place to place and the cells differ in size and shape, keeps every keeper where it is, and proves that the order such a world makes is, at large scale, exactly the curved spacetime g = −c₀²N² dt² + h that those rates and cells describe: its first arrivals, its interval counts, its related pairs and its chains (Theorems B, W and O). In the tension world, density then follows extent by a theorem (Theorem LE). Matter is a lump of held keepers, its mass the held count. A lump’s own time is read from the order. A free lump carries only its last step, and exactly one continuation picks out no frame: straight on. In the order’s own geometry that is the geodesic: for a lump that acts at its own grain and carries nothing beyond its last step, free fall is forced, not chosen, and for a rule with chance in it, forced on average (Theorem 9.4). Each keeper reads matter from its own past light cone, by a form of reading this record adopts (Definition 10.2), carrying forward the latest episode of every source with the one weight no motion can detect, and that reading moves at the push speed with nothing tuned (Proposition 10.1). Frame-freeness and Newton’s law fix the coupling up to one ratio, and one premise, that a keeper’s extent follows its pace, fixes that ratio at Einstein’s value. Held edges then give gravity wherever it is weak, exactly as Einstein’s theory does at first order: Newton’s law, light bent by 4GM/(c₀²b), every lump falling alike, transverse gravitational waves at the push speed, and the Lense–Thirring dragging of orbits, with one constant set by what a held keeper holds (Theorem 11.1). Keepers that stay where they are hold each field by its form with no shift and fixed cell size; the local rule by which they take up a wave’s shape is named as a Target. The premise cannot be derived from the rest, which equally admit the scalar–tensor alternative (Proposition 10.4); the Cassini measurement fixes it to two parts in 10⁵.
