Pemetaan Kebutuhan Peserta Didik Sebagai Dasar Pengembangan Pembelajaran Pai di Smk Sunnatunnur

This study is motivated by differences in students’ interests, initial abilities, and learning difficulties in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMK Sunnatunnur. It aims to describe student needs mapping as a basis for developing PAI learning. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews with the PAI teacher and analyzed by grouping information, presenting the findings, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that most students are interested in PAI, although some show low interest, experience difficulties in reading the Qur’an, or struggle to understand faraid (Islamic inheritance law). The teacher conducts an initial assessment at the beginning of the academic year, particularly to identify students’ Qur’an-reading abilities, and also recognizes their interests and potential. The results of student needs mapping can serve as a consideration for adjusting PAI learning strategies, methods, and activities to students’ needs and learning conditions.
