Design and Simulation of a Real-Time Scrolling Message and Information Board Using a Large LED Panel
Scrolling message boards are used in public transport, shops, schools and companies to present announcements and information. This paper presents the design of a real-time scrolling message and information board using a large LED panel. Text is converted to a bitmap with a font that includes the Turkmen letters, shifted across the frame buffer at an adjustable speed, and updated through a communication interface without interrupting the display. Scrolling smoothness, update latency, maximum message length and character coverage are evaluated by simulation. Wi-Fi (HTTP)
