The Cognitive Prosthesis
GHoSt (Grounded Host, Stateful Anchor) is a local-first, evidence-gated cognitive prosthesis and sovereign memory graph. It is engineered for individuals living with traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and severe episodic memory deficits, providing a reliable continuity layer that fails silently rather than confabulating. The system operates entirely offline on bare-metal consumer hardware to eliminate cloud dependency and protect personal data. It utilizes the JULES pipeline for review-gated extraction, the Laya deterministic router to prevent generative hallucinations, and a hybrid retrieval stack combining FTS5 and sqlite-vec. While designed as a medical-grade memory fallback, its architecture provides a permanent structural upgrade for developers, writers, and creators requiring persistent local context without corporate surveillance.
