MODERN APPROACHES TO IMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING IN UZBEK KURASH

Uzbek kurash is a traditional wrestling system that combines athletic competition, technical skill, discipline, respect for an opponent and a strong cultural identity. In contemporary sport, its continued development depends on training methods that preserve the principles of the national tradition while responding to modern requirements for physical preparation, technical learning, safety and performance evaluation. This article examines key approaches to improving the effectiveness of training in Uzbek kurash. It discusses the structure of physical preparation, the teaching of throwing techniques, tactical decision-making, psychological readiness, age-sensitive training, injury prevention and the use of systematic monitoring. The article applies a theoretical and analytical approach based on the synthesis of sport-pedagogical principles and general training methodology. It does not report an experimental intervention or claim original numerical results. The analysis indicates that effective kurash preparation should be planned as an integrated process in which general physical fitness, sport-specific abilities, technical accuracy, tactical understanding and ethical conduct reinforce one another. Coaches should individualize training loads, provide progressive technical instruction, use controlled practice situations and evaluate athletes through transparent criteria. The paper also emphasizes that the educational and cultural dimensions of kurash are not separate from sporting performance: respect, self-control and responsibility contribute to a safe and productive training environment. The proposed recommendations may be useful for coaches, physical education teachers and researchers seeking to improve training organization in traditional wrestling.
