INDEPENDENT THINKING OF THE INDIVIDUAL AND PROTECTION AGAINST THE INFLUENCE OF SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS
This article examines an individual's ability to think independently, the socio-psychological factors influencing its development, and the risk of losing one's independent position under the influence of public opinion, stereotypes, and group pressure. The influence of social consciousness on an individual's worldview is assessed not merely as a negative phenomenon, but as a complex process that contributes to socialization and personal development. At the same time, the article substantiates that, in the absence of sufficient critical thinking skills, social influence may become an obstacle to independent decision-making. The study proposes an original model that integrates intellectual, informational, psychological, and legal criteria for ensuring independent thinking. Furthermore, recommendations are developed to promote intellectual independence in education, the information environment, and social relations.
