Salud sexual y su relación con el inicio precoz de las relaciones sexuales en adolescentes.
Adolescent sexual health encompasses a set of dimensions related to knowledge, sex education, access to preventive services, autonomy, and the capacity to make responsible decisions about sexuality, this systematic review with a qualitative approach aimed to analyze the relationship between sexual health and early initiation of sexual relations in adolescents, by integrating available scientific evidence, the findings showed that the main components of sexual health include knowledge, access to information, sexual health services, sex education, contraception, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, condom use, autonomy, and family support; it was identified that early initiation of sexual relations is mainly associated with low educational level, poverty, limited access to information on family planning, peer pressure, consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and other substances, and family factors such as violence, poor communication, and early marriage; overall, deficiencies in the components of sexual health increase vulnerability to risky sexual practices, favoring the early initiation of sexual activity; in conclusion, strengthening comprehensive sex education, providing youth-friendly services, and offering family support are essential strategies for promoting responsible sexuality and reducing early initiation of sexual activity.
