Les préférences des étudiants de pédagogie du français de l’Universitas Negeri Semarang concernant le type de travail de fin d’études

Student Preferences in the French Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang Regarding the Type of Final Academic Project. Since the enforcement of Ministerial Regulation No. 53 of 2023, students have several options for their final assignment, including a thesis, a project, a prototype, a scientific publication, or recognition of achievements. A survey of 72 students in the fifth and seventh semesters shows that 82% still prefer to complete a traditional thesis. The study finds that this preference is mainly driven by internal factors such as motivation, self-confidence, and familiarity with the academic process, rather than external influences like job market trends or advice from professors. By doing so, students can be better supported in selecting a final project format that aligns with their individual skills, career goals, and academic interests, thereby encouraging greater innovation and diversity in academic outcomes.
