EDUCAÇÃO EM PSICOLOGIA VOLTADA À SAÚDE MENTAL GLOBAL: PROTOCOLO DE REVISÃO DE ESCOPO

INTRODUCTION: Global Mental Health is an emerging field that is essential for addressing challenges such as migration, social inequalities, and humanitarian crises. Despite its relevance, psychology education still lacks sufficient integration with general management and human resources principles. Incorporating Global Mental Health into psychology training aims to promote global competencies, intercultural practice, advocacy for human rights, and social justice. OBJECTIVE: To map studies addressing education in Global Mental Health, its practical application, and its curricular inclusion in undergraduate psychology programs. The study will follow the PRISMA-ScR guidelines for presenting results in a flowchart and will use the PAGER Framework for critical analysis. The protocol has been duly registered on the Open Science Framework (OSF) platform under DOI: osf.io/wgqrj. METHODS: This scoping review protocol was conducted by the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology. The search will be carried out in seven databases, PubMed, ScienceDirect, BVS, ERIC, Cochrane, APA PsycNet, and PEP, using the descriptors “Psychology, Educational” and “Global Health”. EXPECTED RESULTS: This review will analyze aspects such as curricular structure, pedagogical strategies, developed competencies, and institutional contexts. It aims to identify theoretical and methodological trends, knowledge gaps, and cultural and social variations in educational experiences. The findings are expected to contribute to a broader understanding of current pathways in Psychology education related to Global Mental Health, supporting future research and the development of curricular guidelines that are more aligned with contemporary global mental health demands.
