Delivering the M⁵ Life Programme: A Modular Protocol in Five- and Ten-Week Formats with Journaling and Group Inquiry

This is the sixth of seven papers in the M⁵ Life Programme. Papers 1 to 5 specify what is practised: the 108 Breath Awareness Method, the exploration of experience within meditation, its application in daily life, five modes of awareness, and orientation through needs, purpose, and values. This paper specifies how the programme is delivered. Each practice paper becomes a module, and each module is taught through two two-hour group meetings: an opening meeting that introduces the practice, and a closing meeting for debriefing, extended inquiry, and consolidation. Between them, participants practise 108 breaths morning and evening, complete the module’s exercise, keep a written or voice journal, and send a brief asynchronous check-in that replaces a live midpoint meeting and serves as an early channel for difficulties. The programme therefore comprises ten meetings and twenty contact hours, delivered in two formats that hold content and contact constant and vary the spacing of meetings, and with it total calendar time: a five-week format with two meetings a week, and a ten-week format with one meeting a week. The paper provides a timetable, templates for both types of meeting, module-by-module content and journal prompts, an inquiry protocol, and a consolidated safety pathway drawing together the provisions of the earlier papers. It addresses online, organisational, and cultural adaptation, and specifies teacher preparation and fidelity. Because the formats differ in spacing, they also test whether more practice time between meetings improves consolidation. Four propositions and their failure conditions are specified. No new empirical data are reported.
