Mayanicks Cosmology, Principle 1: The Mirror Principle (v2), A Recursion That Settles

This note gives the Mirror Principle, the recursion core of the ψ_mirror cosmology hypothesis first published on October 18, 2025, its first mathematical grounding. The recursion operator R is defined on a single qubit as a generalized amplitude damping channel followed by a real rotation. It is shown to be a strict contraction in trace distance, so by Banach's fixed-point theorem it has a unique stable yield, reached from every initial state. One property of the yield is derived: because R commutes with complex conjugation, an antiunitary involution, the yield is invariant under it. Both results are checked in a pre-registered, logged run with controls. The note also includes an exploratory adaptive model (mn-yieldmarks) and a preview of version 3, which places the mirror in time. All results concern toy models; the underlying mathematics is classical. Originally published on Medium.
