GAMBARAN HASIL PEMERIKSAAN ANTIBODI HEPATITIS B DAN HEPATITIS C PADA IBU HAMIL DENGAN METODE IMUNOKROMATOGRAFI DI PUSKESMAS SIDOARJO

Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C are infectious diseases that can be transmitted from pregnant women to their babies during pregnancy, childbirth, or after birth. Screening examinations in pregnant women are important as an early detection effort to prevent vertical transmission. This study aimed to determine the profile of Hepatitis B antibody (HBsAb) and Hepatitis C antibody (Anti-HCV) test results among pregnant women using the immunochromatographic method at the Sidoarjo Community Health Center. This study employed a descriptive research design. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Sidoarjo Community Health Center from January to February 2026, involving 40 pregnant women who attended antenatal care (ANC) examinations. Testing was performed using the rapid immunochromatographic method on blood samples collected from the respondents to detect HBsAb and Anti-HCV antibodies. The results showed that, based on age, most respondents were in the 20–35 years age group, accounting for 32 individuals (80%). Based on gestational age, the majority of respondents were in the first trimester, totaling 22 individuals (55%). The HBsAb examination results indicated that 38 respondents (95%) were non-reactive and 2 respondents (5%) were reactive. Meanwhile, the Anti-HCV examination results showed that all 40 respondents (100%) were non-reactive. It is important for pregnant women to undergo Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C screening as a preventive measure to reduce the risk of mother-to-child transmission.
