From Learning to Action: Translating Ethiopia's Primary Health Care Experience into Implementation Lessons for Nigeria through South–South Knowledge Translation
This poster presents lessons from Ethiopia’s primary health care (PHC) experience and explores how these lessons can inform Nigeria’s context through South–South knowledge translation. It outlines a learning process involving PHC training, prioritisation of Nigeria’s needs, an Ethiopia field immersion, exchange among health leaders, contextual analysis, and implementation planning. Three priorities are proposed for Nigeria: sustainable and accountable PHC financing, a community-oriented health workforce, and decentralised leadership and accountability. The poster highlights the importance of adapting lessons to local realities rather than copying another country’s approach.
