Professor Diack - Personal AI Constitution: Human-Governed Intelligence, Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
The Personal AI Constitution, Version 2.0, establishes a human-governed framework for the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into research, STEM education, creative production, and international development. Developed by Professor Moustapha Diack within the Human–AI Research Partnerships (HARP-AI) initiative, the Constitution articulates sixteen foundational principles addressing human authority, cognitive augmentation, critical thinking, verification, transparency, justice, equity, diversity, inclusion (JEDI), cultural sovereignty, synthetic identities, intellectual property, creative labor, and responsible commercialization. The Constitution affirms that human researchers and creators retain final responsibility for scholarly integrity, ethical judgment, cultural interpretation, intellectual independence, and creative decisions. It also establishes principles for evaluating AI research partnerships and maintaining human oversight of AI-assisted activities. Particular attention is given to historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), Senegal, Francophone Africa, and AI for Development (AI4D). BAMBUGARE AI Music Studio provides a context for examining cultural memory, synthetic artistic identities, creative provenance, and economic justice. Approved on October 31, 2026, Version 2.0 serves as the foundational governance framework for the HARP-AI research program. It is a personal scholarly governance document and does not imply institutional endorsement by Southern University or endorsement by AI technology providers.
