Building Bridges Between Science and Communities Through Six Years of the Symposium Malaria Initiative in Cameroon

This poster presents six years of the Symposium Malaria initiative in Cameroon (2021–2026), highlighting efforts to build bridges between scientific research and communities. It describes four complementary areas of activity: scientific conferences, primary-school health education, girls’ engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and community-based malaria screening campaigns. The poster summarizes participation records and screening activities, illustrating how sustained local initiatives can create opportunities for collaboration among researchers, educators, young people and communities. It also discusses the importance of inclusive partnerships and community engagement in global health. Presented at the Geneva Health Forum 2026, Geneva, Switzerland, 10–12 November 2026.
