METHODS FOR ANALYZING PCR RESULTS AND IDENTIFYING DIAGNOSTIC SIGNALS USING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
This paper reviews literature on methods for processing real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) results and assessing diagnostically relevant signals using information technology. It addresses the storage of raw fluorescence data, baseline correction, analysis of amplification curves and quantification cycle (Cq) values, and verification of control results. A five-stage functional framework is proposed, covering data entry through electronic report generation. The importance of documenting analysis parameters and distinguishing calculated values from diagnostic interpretation is emphasized. The work is based on a literature review; the diagnostic performance of the proposed framework has not been experimentally evaluated.
