Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Kalimat Sederhana melalui Think-Talk-Write Berbantuan Bengkel Kalimat pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar: Improving Simple Sentence Writing Skills Through Think-Talk-Write with the Support of a Sentence Workshop for Elementary

Indonesian language instruction for second-grade students at Randuacir 02 Public Elementary School has not yet been optimal, particularly in the skill of writing simple sentences. Students still have difficulty constructing sentences following the subject-predicate-object (S-P-O) pattern, using capital letters and periods, and producing neat handwriting. This study aims to describe teacher activities, student activities, and changes in the mastery of simple sentence-writing skills through the application of the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) cooperative learning model aided by the Bengkel Kalimat media. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two sessions, with 14 second-grade students as participants. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and written tests, then analyzed using descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative methods. The results of the study showed that the percentage of teacher activity increased from 75% in Cycle I, Session 1, to 100% in Cycle II, Session 2, while student activity increased from 55.56% to 88.89%. The classical mastery rate for the ability to write simple sentences also increased from 21.43% in the pre-cycle to 57.14% in Cycle I and 92.86% in Cycle II, thereby exceeding the 80% success criterion. Thus, the implementation of TTW supported by the “Bengkel Kalimat” media shows potential for supporting the learning of simple sentence writing through activities such as thinking, discussing, constructing sentences, and gradually reviewing and revising writing. However, one student has not yet met the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) and therefore still requires support tailored to his or her learning needs.
