A Program Using Varied Training Loads Through Competitive Play to Develop Muscular Strength in Badminton Players

The importance of this study is in the design of a program of training load variations through competitive games in order to enhance muscular strength among badminton players. By participation in the local tournaments arranged by the Badminton Federation, the researcher realized that there is deficiency of muscular strength among badminton players as well as the absence of variations in the training loads in terms of competitive play methods, and also that the training loads were not compatible with the capabilities of players and did not correspond to the principles of science in order to achieve the highest performance in terms of energy efficiency and similarity with competitive play. For this reason, it was suggested by the researcher to conduct a study on the development of a training load variations program through competitive play due to its significant role in diversification of movements as well as reproduction of physical exertion among badminton players. The participants of the research included badminton players below 14 years of age in Al-Mahaweel Club in the year 2026, which consists of 12 players. The sample size was then classified into two groups: Experimental group and Control group, each consisting of 6 players.
