DEVELOPMENT, TRANSLATION AND PRELIMINARY VALIDATION OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND GREEN LOGISTICS MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENT
This study develops, translates, and preliminarily validates a measurement instrument designed to assess digital transformation–driven green logistics practices and sustainability within cross-cultural logistics environments. A multi-phase methodological framework was applied, beginning with the conceptualization of constructs and the systematic generation of items based on established literature. Content and face validity were confirmed through expert evaluations, yielding strong CVI scores and demonstrating item relevance, clarity, and representativeness. The instrument was translated using standardized forward–backward procedures, followed by expert committee review to ensure semantic and conceptual equivalence. Cognitive debriefing further verified respondent comprehension, while a pilot test involving 30 logistics professionals provided evidence of acceptable internal consistency and survey feasibility. Structural validation procedures, such as Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), were intentionally deferred due to the small pilot sample size. Although the present study produced an Arabic version, the development and adaptation processes followed internationally recognized standards, making the instrument suitable for application in other linguistic and cultural contexts with appropriate adaptation. Overall, the study delivers a culturally attuned and conceptually robust pre-final instrument that lays the groundwork for future large-scale psychometric validation and empirical investigations into the role of digital transformation in advancing sustainable logistics practices.
