Emerging Technologies in Language Learning

Abstract New technologies have a significant impact on language learning process. The traditional language learning is largely based on textbooks, classroom teaching, blackboard and face-to-face communication. Digital technologies now offer learners new opportunities to learn, practise, communicate and assess their language proficiency. New opportunities for language education emerge in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), mobile applications, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), chatbots, speech-recognition systems, learning management systems, online platforms, digital games, and adaptive learning systems. The technologies help to create flexible, interactive, personalised and learner-centred experiences for learners. The scope of this research paper is to explore the significant emerging technologies in language learning and talk about their applications, advantages, problems and significance in language learning. The paper makes the case that technology isn't a substitute for teachers. Rather, it supports educators, and provides extra opportunities for effective language use. The theme, which seeks to redefine the language learning landscape, was well-received, and attendees eagerly explored the diverse methods and approaches for incorporating emerging technologies into language education. The theme was well-received, and participants welcomed the opportunity to discuss various methods and approaches for integrating emerging technologies into language learning. Language learning is in a state of continuous evolution. Language learning is an ever-changing process.
