Simultaneous electrochemical detection of cholecalciferol and linezolid using cobalt oxide / Calcium lead ferrite nanohybrid

This study presents the synthesis of a cobalt oxide-functionalized calcium lead ferrite nanohybrid (CoO/CaPbFe₂O₄-NH) and its application as an efficient electrochemical sensor for the simultaneous detection of cholecalciferol (CFO) and linezolid (LZD). The fabricated CoO/CaPbFe₂O₄-NH-modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity, enabling sensitive and selective detection of both analytes in Britton–Robinson buffer (pH 9.0). The sensor demonstrated a wide linear response with low detection limits of 1.7 nM for CFO and 5.2 nM for LZD. The enhanced sensing performance is attributed to the synergistic effect, high surface area, and improved electron transfer properties of the nanohybrid material. Furthermore, the developed sensor demonstrated good applicability to the analysis of pharmaceutical and healthcare samples, indicating its potential for practical use.

The fabricated CoO/CaPbFe₂O₄-NH-modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity, enabling sensitive and selective detection of both analytes in Britton–Robinson buffer (pH 9.0).
