First interception of Anatrichus pygmaeus (Lamb, 1918) (Diptera: Chloropidae, Elachipterini) in the United Kingdom
Anatrichus pygmaeus (Lamb, 1918) (Diptera: Chloropidae) was intercepted in the United Kingdom (UK) for the first time on imported water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica Forsskål (Fam: Convolvulaceae)) from Thailand. The structure, functional biology and the known ecology of this species and the genus Anatrichus Loew, 1860 is reviewed and discussed.
