AMDCF Dual Protection Framework for REBCO Superconducting Cables: Aerospace Application in Future Hydrogen-Electric Aircraft

The transition to hydrogen-electric aviation (e.g., the CERN-Airbus UpNext Cryoprop project) requires the use of high-temperature superconducting cables (REBCO). However, these cables are highly vulnerable to Thermal Quench (loss of superconductivity due to Joule heating) and Mechanical Resonance (destructive vibrations from the aircraft engine). In this study, we apply the Adaptive Memory-Decay Control Framework (AMDCF) as a dual safety valve. The kernel monitors the rate of temperature change and vibration velocity, dynamically throttling the electrical current and increasing mechanical damping ONLY during extreme disturbances. The simulation demonstrates that AMDCF successfully prevents thermal runaway and suppresses mechanical resonance, ensuring the survival of the superconducting cable. This framework provides a robust numerical control tool for aerospace cryogenics.
