Abstract Digital innovation is a major catalyst providing the driving force in changing the modern business and economy. Technologies like AI, cloud computing, big data analytics, IoT, blockchain, and automation have transformed business operations, value creation, and customer interactions. Digital innovation goes beyond the introduction of new technologies: it also includes new product, services, processes and business models. This research paper explores the concept of digital innovation and how it's driving business transformation. It emphasises the key factors for digital innovation, technologies that enable digital innovation, the advantages for organisations, issues with implementing digital innovation and upcoming developments. The study is descriptive and exploratory research with the main method of collecting data from secondary data sources from academic journals, books, research reports and reliable sources on the internet. The study concludes that digital innovation can enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, productivity, decision making and competitiveness. But there are problems like cyber security threats, data privacy issues, cost of implementation, resistance to change and lack of digital skills in the organisations. The research findings show that organisations can reap the benefits of digital transformation successfully with the right strategies, staff and leadership, and the constant introduction of new ideas.
