Pendampingan Kelas Remaja Tentang Bahaya Kehamilan Usia Dini di Puskesmas Singkawang Utara I
This community service activity aimed to improve adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes toward the prevention and risks of early pregnancy. The activity involved 40 adolescents and was implemented through an adolescent class approach using health education, lectures, interactive discussions, educational video presentations, and leaflet distribution. The effectiveness of the activity was evaluated using structured questionnaires administered before and after the intervention to assess changes in knowledge and attitudes. The results demonstrated a substantial improvement in adolescents’ knowledge following the intervention, with a mean score increase of 25.85 points. In addition, all participants demonstrated a shift toward more positive attitudes regarding the risks and prevention of early pregnancy. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference in knowledge and attitudes between the pre-intervention and post-intervention measurements, indicating that the mentoring program had a positive impact on adolescents’ reproductive health understanding and attitudes. These findings suggest that adolescent class mentoring can serve as an effective promotive and preventive strategy for strengthening reproductive health awareness and encouraging adolescents to prevent early pregnancy.
