Determinan Kecemasan Pada Pasien Hemodialisis : Analisis Faktor Sosiodemografi
Background: Patients undergoing hemodialysis require long-term treatment, which may affect their mental health, including the development of anxiety. Identifying factors associated with anxiety levels is important for determining groups of patients who require early screening and psychological support. Objective: This study aimed to analyze factors associated with anxiety based on sociodemographic characteristics and the duration of hemodialysis. Methods: This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach involving 120 patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Hemodialysis RSUD dr Soedono, East Java Province, Indonesia. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The independent variables included age, sex, educational level, occupation, and duration of hemodialysis. Multivariate analysis was performed using logistic regression. Results: The results showed that 71 respondents (59.2%) experienced anxiety, including 32 respondents (26.7%) with mild anxiety, 31 respondents (25.8%) with moderate anxiety, and 8 respondents (6.7%) with severe anxiety. After simultaneous adjustment for the independent variables, the duration of hemodialysis was significantly associated with anxiety levels. Patients who had undergone hemodialysis for more than 24 months tended to have lower anxiety levels than those who had undergone hemodialysis for less than 12 months. Conclusion: The duration of hemodialysis was the strongest determinant associated with anxiety levels in the study model.
