Paradigma Dakwah Multikultural dalam Menghadapi Pluralitas Dunia Islam Kontemporer
The contemporary Islamic world is marked by an increasingly complex plurality across cultural, ethnic, and religious-intellectual dimensions. Amid this reality, da’wah can no longer rely on a single, monolithic paradigm but must shift toward an inclusive, dialogical, and humanistic multicultural paradigm. This article examines the meaning of multiculturalism, the phenomenon of plurality in the contemporary Islamic world and its attendant problems, and how a multicultural da’wah paradigm can serve as a strategic solution to these challenges. Using a library research method and a descriptive-analytical approach, the study reviews relevant theological foundations, approaches, and models of multicultural da’wah. The findings show that a multicultural da’wah paradigm oriented toward inclusivity, tolerance, cross-cultural dialogue, and respect for difference is an appropriate and solution-oriented response to the dynamics of the contemporary Islamic world.
