Pengaruh Stres Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Operasional Teknis pada PT. X

This study aims to determine the effect of work stress on employee performance in the Technical Operations Division (OTD) of PT X. The study employed a quantitative method with a survey approach and a saturated sampling technique, involving 54 employees as respondents. Data were collected using the Employee Performance Scale adapted from Koopmans et al.’s Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) and the Work Stress Scale adapted from Parker and DeCotiis’s Job Stress Scale (1983). The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that both instruments had good reliability, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.884 for the Work Stress Scale and 0.945 for the Employee Performance Scale. Work stress and employee performance were both categorized as moderate, at 70.37% and 61.1%, respectively. Hypothesis testing revealed that work stress had a significant effect on employee performance, with an F-value of 6.826 and a significance level of 0.012 (p < 0.05). The R-squared value of 0.116 indicated that work stress accounted for 11.6% of the variance in employee performance. The regression equation, Y = 66.390 + 0.581X, with a Beta coefficient of 0.341, indicated a positive and significant relationship. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. These findings indicate that work stress affects employee performance, although its contribution is relatively limited.
