A PREAMBLE TO ST-T1024 & WEB : A Preamble to Seven Articles — On the Challenge of Reaching an Unsigned World from a Signed Architecture, and the Series That Answers It
A bounded architecture that cannot reach the web is a product with a ceiling. The knowledge layer has two tiers — ROM for the invariant substrate, SRAM for the certifiedrevisable layer. Both are built for knowledge that changes slowly enough to be signed. Aregulatory filing. A clinical guideline. A physical constant. The system answers from them orrefuses. And then a citizen asks about something that happened this morning. The tiles have nothing. The Friday session has not met. The source has not been attested. The system returns 0x-AMBIG-EPISTEMIC and the citizen concludes the product is useless. That is the challenge. Not a technical one, in the ordinary sense. A structural one: thearchitecture is built on attestation, and the world it must describe is unsigned.Every query presents the same question: can this be attested, or must it be fetched?
