Anti-Cheat System in Competitive Games

Abstract: Competitive online games require fair and secure environments to ensure that player performance is determined by skill, strategy, and teamwork rather than unauthorized advantages. However, the increasing use of cheating techniques such as aimbots, wallhacks, speed hacks, game-data manipulation, and automated scripts has become a significant challenge for game developers and competitive platforms. This project proposes an intelligent anti-cheat system designed to detect and prevent suspicious player behavior in real time. The proposed system combines multiple detection techniques, including behavioral analysis, game event monitoring, anomaly detection, and rule-based identification of unauthorized activities. The system analyzes player actions and gameplay patterns to distinguish normal behavior from potentially malicious activity while minimizing false positives. Suspicious activities can be flagged for further investigation, allowing appropriate actions such as warnings, temporary restrictions, or account bans. The primary objective of this project is to develop a scalable and efficient anti-cheat framework that improves game integrity without significantly affecting legitimate players' performance or privacy. The proposed approach can help competitive gaming platforms reduce cheating, improve player trust, and maintain a fair gaming environment. The system can also be extended using machine learning techniques to adapt to emerging cheating methods and continuously improve detection accuracy.
