Neuroimaging research training without local scanners or high-performance computing: a multi-site cloud-based CURE in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, and the United States

The BRAINLife Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) is a multi-institutional computational neuroimaging training program implemented across five universities in four countries: - Lawrence Technological University (LTU), United States- University of Port Harcourt (UPH), Nigeria- Federal University of Health Sciences Azare (FUHSA), Nigeria- Accra Technical University (ATU), Ghana- Busitema University (BU), Uganda Students used **brainlife.io** and openly available structural MRI data to learn cloud-based neuroimaging workflows and conduct collaborative, hypothesis-driven research projects. The implementation included a transatlantic collaboration between LTU and UPH and a Pan-African collaboration involving FUHSA, ATU, and Busitema University.
