Development and Validation of an AI Framework for Enhancing Postgraduate Research Skills in Sustainable Language Education: A Fuzzy Delphi Analysis

This study aims to develop and validate an Artificial Intelligence (AI) framework to enhance postgraduate research skills in sustainable language education using the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM). The framework was initially developed through a systematic literature review and interviews. The proposed framework comprises five main themes: writing and language support, academic writing process, cognitive and intellectual skills, research engagement and productivity, and ethical and responsible AI use. A quantitative consensus-based design was employed, involving 13 experts from relevant fields. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire and analysed using FDM. The findings indicate strong expert consensus across most components of the framework. Overall evaluation results confirm that the framework is comprehensive, logically structured, and suitable for implementation in postgraduate research contexts. The study concludes that the validated framework provides a structured and reliable foundation for integrating AI into postgraduate research skill development while maintaining ethical and sustainable academic practices.
