Factores asociados al embarazo no planificado en adolescentes en situación de vulnerabilidad socioeconómica.

Unplanned pregnancy in adolescents represents a public health problem influenced by social, economic, and educational determinants that increase reproductive vulnerability, the objective of this systematic review with an analytical approach was to analyze the factors associated with unplanned pregnancy in adolescents in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability, the results highlighted that the main factors associated with unplanned pregnancy were low use or absence of contraceptive methods, early initiation of sexual activity and limited knowledge about sexual health, low educational level, and family difficulties, it was also identified that socioeconomic vulnerability was characterized by poverty, low income, unemployment, low parental education, limited social support, inadequate housing conditions, and educational inequalities, affecting the integral development of adolescents; the evidence showed a direct relationship between these conditions and unplanned pregnancy, since adolescents with less education, economic limitations, and restricted access to sexual health services were more likely to experience unplanned pregnancies; in conclusion, adolescent pregnancy responds to the interaction of multiple social and structural determinants, so its prevention requires comprehensive strategies based on sexual education, timely access to contraceptive methods, strengthening of health services for adolescents, and social protection policies aimed at reducing inequalities by improving reproductive health.
