Studies on intermediate filaments: genes with selective abilities to control gene expression, biophysically, through their own expression.

We demonstrate here an intrinsic relationship between the intermediate filament KRT18 and the Ephrin gene Ephb2. Genetic depletion of the cytokeratin KRT18 in human cells also resulted in compensatory activation of the unannotated genomic locus LOC107987206.

Abstract

We demonstrate here an intrinsic relationship between the intermediate filament KRT18 and the Ephrin gene Ephb2. Genetic depletion of the cytokeratin KRT18 in human cells also resulted in compensatory activation of the unannotated genomic locus LOC107987206.
