Performance analysis of dolyo chagi kick technique on disabled taekwondo athletes at the NPC special region of Yogyakarta

The study aimed to analyze the technical performance of the dolyo chagi kick among athletes with disabilities at the DIY NPC Regional Training Center. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research design with an analytical approach. The study population consisted of athletes with disabilities participating in taekwondo at the 2024 DIY NPC Regional Training Center. A total sampling technique was used, including all six athletes with disabilities in the K44 classification. Data were collected through observations conducted by judges using a scoring rubric (observation sheet). The data were obtained from video recordings of the athletes performing the dolyo chagi kick technique. Descriptive percentage analysis was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the technical performance of the dolyo chagi kick was classified as "very poor" for 0.00% (0 athletes), "poor" for 83.33% (5 athletes), "good" for 16.67% (1 athlete), and "very good" for 0.00% (0 athletes). Based on the mean score, the technical performance of the dolyo chagi kick among athletes with disabilities at the DIY NPC Regional Training Center was classified as poor. Future researchers are encouraged to examine the overall technical performance of movements required in para-taekwondo, as well as the athletes' physical performance.
