HOXA5 and TBX5 activation in response to bevacizumab.

Homeoboxes are the central nuclear effectors, adjacent to the oncogene, which propagate the transformed oncogenic state. We describe here activation of homeobox factor HOXA5 and the T-box factor TBX5 in response to growth factor restriction effected by the VEGF-A inhibitor bevacizumab (Avastin).
