Effective listening ....... lessons learnt from a “Jollie Skollie” on a Saturday night
As a first-year student in the early 1970s, I worked in a pharmacy where the highest standards of professionalism and ethics were maintained. The dress code was white jackets and ties and all GPP procedures were strictly adhered to by all. Whilst maintaining good systems and high standards of patient care are important, it must be remembered that each individual client encounter is unique. It is from one such engagement with a client that I learnt an important lesson.
