The Khanhnion Framework: A Synthesis of Papers 6–14 — Rotation Equivariance, Unit Obstruction, Scalar–Vector Extensions, Associators, and Open Questions

This paper synthesizes the Khanhnion framework developed in Papers 6–14. The framework begins with a 96-dimensional representation K = R³ ⊗ W, where W is a 32-dimensional internal space. Proper spatial rotations act only on the R³ factor, while W carries the trivial action. Because the representation has no nonzero rotation-invariant vector, it cannot support a bilinear multiplication that is both SO(3)-equivariant and unital. Two extensions were studied. The first is the 97-dimensional unitization R ⊕ K. It adds one rotation-invariant scalar line and preserves the original 96-dimensional product exactly. Within the class of extensions obtained by adjoining a rotation-invariant scalar line, 97 dimensions are minimal. The second is the 128-dimensional scalar–vector extension (R ⊕ R³) ⊗ W. It adds a full internal scalar sector and supports a quaternion-inspired product. Its commutator induces a bracket on the 96-dimensional vector sector. The behavior of that bracket depends on the internal product. If the internal product is commutative and associative, the bracket satisfies the Jacobi identity. For W = R³² with componentwise multiplication, the 128-dimensional algebra is isomorphic to H³². If the internal product is symmetrized sedenion multiplication, the algebra is nonassociative and its vector-sector bracket generally fails Jacobi. The failure is governed by nonzero associators. The paper collects the main definitions, results, examples, and open questions. Its dimensional map is 96 → 97 → 128. The established results include: - The 96-dimensional representation admits equivariant products but no unital equivariant product.- Adding one invariant scalar line gives a 97-dimensional unital equivariant extension.- This 97-dimensional construction is minimal among scalar-line extensions.- Adding a full internal scalar sector gives a 128-dimensional unital equivariant extension.- Associative internal products give Lie brackets on the vector sector.- Symmetrized sedenion internal products give non-Lie brackets.- The Jacobi defect is controlled by associators. Open questions include whether Jacobi is equivalent to associativity for commutative internal products, whether nonassociative internal products can still yield Jacobi brackets, whether Khanhnion algebras contain meaningful Clifford subalgebras, and whether these structures produce new geometric invariants. The framework does not claim a new division algebra, a new solution to sphere packing, a proof of the Kepler conjecture, a physical quantum model, a computational advantage, or a replacement for quaternions, octonions, or Clifford algebras. No new sphere-packing density bound, proof of the Kepler theorem, physical quantum model, gauge symmetry, conservation law, or computational advantage is established. Abstract
