IMPACT OF AGROTECHNICAL MEASURES ON THE YIELD OF COTTON VARIETIES
The research studied the effect of sowing time, thinning time, plant density, irrigation regime, and fertilizer rates on cotton. Cotton is a valuable industrial crop. Hundreds of various products are manufactured from the cotton plant for different sectors of the national economy and industry. One of the main factors in a comparative study of promising cotton varieties under different plant densities is increasing productivity and product quality. Cotton is a plant of strategic importance. The main task of agriculture is to meet the population's demand for food products and the industry's need for raw materials. By implementing agrotechnical measures, phenological observations were carried out in the experimental field during the phases of sprout formation, formation of true leaves, budding, flowering, and ripening. The planned complex of agrotechnical measures includes sowing dates, thinning dates, plant density, fertilizer rates, and irrigation regime, which play a major role in influencing the overall development dynamics of the cotton plant and its structural indicators.
