The Effectiveness of Number Dominoes as a Learning Aid for Understanding Numerical Concepts in 5–6-Year-Old Children at TKQ Annisaa, Karawang

This study aims to determine the difference in understanding the concept of number in children aged 5-6 years before and after being given treatment or treatment by playing domino number card activities at TKQ Annisaa Karawang. The method used is a quantitative method with the type of one group pretest-posttest. The population in this study were all group B children with a total of 68 students. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique, so that the selected sample is class B3 with 22 children. The data collection technique used in this study is to conduct an initial test (pretest), then the implementation of treatment (treatment) for 8 times treatment, and the final test (posttest). The results showed that the ability to understand the concept of number in the activity of playing domino numbers showed an increase. This can be seen from the average posttest value of 52.2 which has increased when compared to the initial test (pretest) which has an average value of 31.4. The results of hypothesis testing in this study obtained a value of 15.438 ≥ 2.093 so that the rule decided in this study is Ha accepted. From the increasing results of the data on the average value of children and the rules of hypothesis results, it can be concluded that domino number cards are effective for understanding the concept of numbers for children aged 5-6 years at TKQ Annisa Karawang.
