INCREASING THE ABILITY TO ANALYZE SPEECH TEXTS USING THE NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) LEARNING MODEL

This type of research is Classroom Action Research which aims to determine the improvement of the ability to analyze lecture texts using the Numbered Heads Together learning model. The subjects in this study were students of class XI MA Al-Chaeriyah Ma'arif Barakkang, Central Mamuju Regency. The data collected consisted of student learning outcomes through learning outcome tests for each cycle and student activity data in learning based on observations made. Student learning outcome test data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that students' analytical abilities in each cycle increased. Based on the average value of data in cycle I, students' analytical abilities were 58.9, cycle II 76.7 and cycle III 81.2. Student activities in learning each cycle based on observations made also experienced changes, seen in the responses given by students to the material taught. Thus, the use of the Numbered Heads Together learning model can improve the ability to analyze lecture texts in class XI MA Al-Chaeriyah Ma'arif Barakkang students.
